Creation of a holistic communication package for the Schwarzkopf Professional SalonLabTM Ecosystem reveal at CES® 2018, consisting of Promotional Video, Event Collateral, Social Media Content and Multimedia Presentation for press events, which helped gain coverage on major news sites such as CNN, Venturebeat and Engadget.

Having developed their new digital SalonLabTM ecosystem which improves the consultation process with data-driven insights and personalised care products, the Henkel Beauty Care Team approached Creasis to support them with a tailored content package. Centre piece was a promotional video communicating the benefits and completely new in-salon consultation approach to press and visitors at CES® 2018, at the end of which Henkel was rewarded for with two CES Innovation Awards.

120 Seconds of

True innovation is hard work, yet the promotional video had to explain the components of the ecosystem and how they are used during consultation in an easy-to-understand manner. To explain the engineering behind the hardware, the inner workings of the Analyzer and Customizer were visualised with 3D Animations. Combined with the in-salon demonstration by Global Brand Ambassadors Lesley Jennison and Kim Vo, the spot makes the exciting future of personalised consultations feel closer than ever.

Of course, an innovation of this calibre has a lot going on behind the scenes to create a pleasing user experience on the outside – a story worth telling tech and hairdressing industry journalists in more detail. Hence, a polished multimedia presentation was created for the press meetings to give more insight into the technologies and features as well as illustrate the benefits a data-driven consultation will have for hairdressers and consumers.

the Story.

Drawing on the many animations, product renders and graphics created, a host of printed communication material – such as flyers, infographics and roll ups to complement the event stand at CES was designed. In addition, our product animations were repurposed as part of the SalonLab social media campaign as featured posts, leveraging the buzz and communication material beyond the event.


The CES® proved to be the perfect occasion for Henkel to announce their innovative SalonLabTM, making use of on-site demos and the various communication materials to convince the Innovation Awards Jury, visitors and major new sites alike of the value the ecosystem holds.
